how do i delete windows NT

i'm not to techie savvy, but my problem is this: i had windows nt on my cpu and have since installed windows xp. this is an old cpu w/ like 4Gigs. can i delete the old NT and free up space because i dont have much memory left? someone told me to just delete the partition, but i'm clueless. any help will be much appreciated.

Best Buy will probably copy your whole drive to an 80 gig hard drive for under $100 (drive included).

p.s. Memory\ram is different, you're issue is drive space.

You can still pull the files you want from the hard drive. Burn them to CD or DVD or move them to another hard drive, external or internal, if you have an open bay.
Then do a complete format and install, you should be able to do this with the Windows XP installation disc.
If you have NT on a seperate partition you can format just that partition.
